Tula's Baby

I am totally committed to supporting Dog Shelters and other select charities.
So two times a month, I paint someone's doggie or kitty
so that their check goes directly to the charity.
This doggie is called "Tula's Baby."

Desert Tree So Full of Life....

A Palo Verde Tree is a very cool tree.
It photosynthesizes throughout its green bark, as well as in it's leaves.  It is gnarled and tangles within itself, making is a puzzle to follow and enjoy.  This little gem grows not far from our home here is sunny Carefree, AZ.

Big Kitty

Here is a page from my sketchbook (you can see the upper left hand side has rings in it).
I saw this cat and something he did just made me stare and stare at him.  I had to sketch him.  What attitude!  No wonder they call him the King of the Jungle!

Frozen in a Moment in Time

Our Contemporary Watercolor Society gives a monthly motivation for a painting.
Last month was "FROZEN" as it was January.  I just couldn't wrap my arms around the concept of COLD or ICE or SNOW.  So I painted a moment in time FROZEN -- sort of like a camera sneaks in and snaps an image in the time field of life.

I wanted to experiment with round shapes, and chose birds above the earth and fish in the sea to cover the gamut of things swimming and floating in our world.

Here is the result I got.
